K2 Gives Cutting Edge A Sharper Market Advantage

Stoke-based K2 dealer, Cutting Edge, has celebrated its expansion into a dedicated conservatory roof fabrication unit with a customer open day, which took place within their new premises at Parkhall Road, Longton.

Customers from across the Midlands as well as members of the public flocked to Cutting Edge's production facility on February 24th to join the fun and take a look around the new unit, which includes a viewing area and demonstration units. The new production facility is 250% larger than Cutting Edge's former unit and demonstrates the pace of growth that the company has enjoyed since becoming a K2 dealer two years ago. The company has also invested in new equipment across the business to enable them to sustain manageable growth going forward.

Explains Sonja Mountford, Marketing Manager at Cutting Edge: "It is less than five years since the business was first established and we have grown at a fantastic rate since then. As our supplier, K2 has offered us a wide range of sales and technical support, helping us achieve our business objectives and deliver excellent service levels to our customers. K2 has been an important partner in the success of our business over the past two years, and our decision to sign a trading agreement with them reflects the value we feel they have offered us. We share their commitment to quality and that is why we encouraged our customers to come and see first hand how we fabricate their orders.

Amongst the entertainment at the Cutting Edge open day was an opportunity for visitors to test their driving skills on eight Ferrari simulators and the chance to see K2 installers assemble an L2 In A Pack modular lean-to roofing system against the clock. Cutting Edge also offered guests the opportunity to win a conservatory and a range of power tools.

Comments Sally Fielding, Managing Director of K2: "Cutting Edge's approach to making the open day an event to remember is indicative of their whole approach to doing business - they are dedicated, thorough and totally customer focused. That's why they have been so successful and we will continue to support them in what ever way we can to help them build on this success in the future."
