Conservatory Colouring
While there are well over a million white conservatories installed in the UK, there are few to be seen in other colours and with this in mind K2 fabricator SWC Trade Frames have just added a range of exclusive, coloured conservatories.
The company has launched a full range of complete conservatories utilising a K2 roof and WHS Halo frames/doors, which are all available in any standard RAL colour. Given the recent developments in acrylic-based paints, this range will provide for a long-lasting and durable finish in several hundred colours.
In a market where there is little product differentiation this is the perfect product for the installer looking to offer something a little more exclusive. For the discerning homeowner, this means the opportunity to enjoy a more individual conservatory and one more in keeping with the other design elements of the home.
To achieve the high product quality that SWC customers have come to expect, the company has recently invested in a paint application system including a spray bay and all the necessary equipment including extraction fans and applicators. This is part of a sophisticated manufacturing unit that’s been designed to improve production efficiencies and maintain a very high quality, fabricated product.
Paul Richings, managing director at SWC Trade Frames comments: “This is a big investment and commitment for us, but not necessarily speculative. Our close relationship with our customers and recent consultations has shown that there is already demand for the product. What we’ll be offering is a 2-3 week leadtime for a complete coloured conservatory - this is our strategy to offer the installer a wider range of products.”
Charles Fox, sales director at K2 concludes: “It’s great to see our customers invest in new products, much like our own approach with the new aluminium system. Markets thrive on being customer focused, innovative and committed and that’s the approach both SWC and K2 are taking.”
