Final's Night For K2
K2 has made it to a final’s night having just been nominated as a G08 finalist for Promotional Campaign of the Year, thanks to their investment in an interactive marketing campaign based on one of the industry’s first ever weblogs at www.k2blog.co.uk.
These weblogs have been used to engage the K2 website visitor in a more interactive way and other communication tools have been harnessed to help drive traffic to both the weblogs and to the main website. Monthly topics have ranged from K2 Architectural Systems, customer support, the new aluminium roof system and also an introduction to the weblogs by Sally Fielding, managing director.
Each monthly blog has also been supported by an integrated marketing campaign - using online and offline PR, banner advertising, email campaigns and K2 literature (which has also been printed with the K2 blog logo on). Each of these elements has played a part in communicating the current blog topic and to help drive traffic to the site.
Mandy Johnson, marketing controller at K2 comments: “We are truly delighted to become a finalist for the G08 Promotional Campaign of the Year. This project was carried out with the co-operation and assistance of nearly every department in the company and has proven to be an exciting one for everyone associated with it”.
