The K2 logistics department has invested in a new Side Tracker - Stand on Side Loader- for their warehousing operations.

Costing £76000 it is a significant operational investment which Tony Leach, Logistics Manager, describes as essential. “Our industry is highly seasonal, which means that our warehousing capacity requirements vary enormously from one end of the year to the next. It would be unrealistic to increase out square footage simply to accommodate those peaks. By investing in the Side Tracker - which is the only machine that can not only operate in narrow aisles but is also better for working at the heights required for long loads - we can instead increase the capacity of the existing space by bringing our storage racks closer together.

('Sidetracker manufactures a wide range of multi-directional lift trucks at their facility in Derbyshire. Each truck is designed to considerably reduce the amount of space needed for long loads, by being specially dimensioned to match the application, whilst using common components internally.
